capture = win somebody's love: to win the love or affection of somebody, especially by being charming or attractive
dent = nonphysical, usually minor, damage, e.g. to somebody's reputation or pride
disrupt = destroy order
district attorney = the prosecuting officer of a jurisdiction
exhilarating = make somebody feel happy and alive:
fault = to find a reason to criticize someone or something
foe = enemy
glee = happiness, excitement or pleasure
hazy = visually obscured, unclear

miss = not hear, see, or comprehend something:
nail = catch or convict guilty person
off-the-cuff = unprepared: delivered spontaneously or without preparation or notes
overwhelming = emotionally overpowering
rig = make something hastily
steady = constant or continuous: coming in a regular nonstop flow
tad exhausting = to make somebody feel very slightly, a little, tired
taste = a person's approval of and liking for particular things
thorn = sharp point
unflappable = not likely to get worried, nervous or angry even in difficult situations
unleash = to set a person or animal free
wrench = tool used to grasp and turn
